1. Who we are

FixPayment ("FixPayment," "we," "us") provides accounts receivable software and related platform tools for creditors. This policy describes how we handle personal information on fixpayment.org and in connection with our services.

2. Information we collect

  • Creditor / user data: company name, contact name, email, phone, login credentials, billing contacts
  • Account & receivable data: customer/business contact details, invoice/account numbers, balances, payment history, documents you upload
  • Communications: messages, dispute submissions, call recordings where permitted and disclosed
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, cookies (see below)

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Operate creditor portals, APIs, payment links, plans, and settlements
  • Respond to disputes, validation requests, and support inquiries
  • Maintain audit logs and security monitoring
  • Bill platform fees and process payments via processors (e.g. Stripe)
  • Comply with law and enforce our agreements
  • Improve fraud prevention and service quality (including limited use of AI tooling for triage where enabled)

4. International processing

We may process and store information in the locations where we and our vendors operate, which may include countries outside your own. If you are a U.S. or EU/UK business user, you acknowledge cross-border transfer as needed to provide the software.

5. Sharing

We may share information with:

  • The creditor that placed the account (controller of that receivable relationship)
  • Payment processors, hosting, email/SMS, and technology vendors under contract (e.g. Stripe, Twilio, cloud hosting)
  • Regulators or law enforcement when required by law

We do not sell personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5a. SMS / text messaging (FixPayment reminders)

Changing Our Futures (EIN 47-1878490) operates FixPayment. If you provide a mobile number and consent to texts, we may send account reminder messages and related account notifications (payment-due reminders, status updates, and occasional secure self-service links). Message frequency varies (typically fewer than 10 messages per month). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out; reply HELP for help.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See also privacy-policy.html and our brand-site policy at makechoice.org/privacy.html.

6. Security & retention

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data. We retain information as long as needed to provide the service, maintain audit trails, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize when no longer required.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of certain information where applicable law provides those rights. Contact us at support@fixpayment.org.

California and other state privacy rights may apply to eligible individuals; contact us for applicable requests. Creditors remain responsible for notices to their own customers where they are the controller.
